Class starts, Snow Falls, All is Well with the World Again
Just as I begin to experience the dreaded winter malaise, semester 2 kicks in. I breathe one big sigh of relief. If anything is contributing to my continued sanity in this crazy mess of a city, it is school. I don’t even know if I’ll finish the program yet, but as long as I’m here I’m going to go. Class is to me what knitting circles are to many other people: an engaging hobby, an activity, and a social event. Except I have to write papers and take tests, but I don’t even mind those so much.
My Monday class seems like it will be almost overly easy, not to say that it won’t be interesting. Of course, I thought the same thing about my last Monday class so who knows? Maybe the prof is a fan of pop quizzes. All I know is that it says nothing in the syllabus about a final paper. I have a feeling the Thursday class will be a touch more challenging, given what I’ve heard about the prof. I suppose that will provide a nice balance. So, for now, I’ll enjoy the best part of the semester: the part where all I have to do is show up, speak my mind, and read the materials.
